What to upgrade first (optional)
This is only a suggestion, you do not have to follow it. It comes from a community guide that ranks just some of the nodes. The nodes it does not mention are not listed here, because there is no order for them.
Nodes are matched from the guide's icons. The last group has no tier in the guide, so it shows no cost.

Cost uses the discount you pick, and time and gems use the speed-up you pick. Gems come from the sped-up time of each upgrade, about 1 gem for every 433 seconds, with at least 1 gem per upgrade. The most you can pick is -50% cost and +100% speed. Every tree uses the same cost and time table, and going from 2/5 to 3/5 costs the 3/5 step. The first tier of the Forge tree starts as Max. The first tiers of Skills, Pets & Tech and Power start with example levels, so set them to match your game. The Forge hammer with plus has only one level (0/1 to Max), and its cost, time and gems use the 1/5 step in every tier, which is an estimate. The table shows 1h 30m for Tier II 1/5 with speed-up, where half of the normal time would be 1h 20m, and the page keeps the table value.
